Jennifer J. Cirka, aka J, is the designer behind Jaybird Designs. She's been crocheting since she was little, and began making baby blankets after finishing high school in 1992. In 2004, after her daughter was born, she found the eBay custom boutique world and her love for making children�s clothing and accessories. Thus Jaybird Designs was formed. Feeling the need to make her items stand out more, she decided to add crochet into the designs. She has a love of making children�s sweaters and halters, and many other items.

She began writing and selling patterns in January 2007. Distribution is expanding and she is now creating a booklet of her designs for Leisure Arts.

The designs use a lot of cotton and natural fibers. Her style is uniquely her own. Her inspiration see in stores, tv, and magazines. Though the designs may look complicated, they are actually very simple. The stitches are basic but mixed up to make a very pretty design.
