What about INTERNATIONAL Shipping, outside the United States?
For international orders you will be contacted with the shipping and handling charges. Understand that placing your order acknowledges your commitment to cover shipping charges. We must cut and pack your order so we can accurately calculate shipping. After being contacted, you will have 48 hours to submit payment for the shipping total. If there is no payment received we will need to cancel your order and you may be responsible for a restocking fee... (remember, we just cut your fabric.) Please make sure that you have entered your email address correctly on your order, so we can contact you. You can call or fax us at the numbers found on our Contact Us page, if you have any further questions.
We ship USPS Global Priority. This includes a tracking #, but packages are not tracked once they leave the US.
To calculate estimated shipping. Go to www.usps.com. Postage calculator.
Estimate guidelines:
NO handling charge is applied for USPS Global Priority, however a $5.00 handling fee may be applied if an alternative shipping method is required.
NOTE: 4 to 5 yd of wovens fit into a global flat rate mailer. We cannot fit velours, sherpa's or knits into a FLAT RATE envelope.
For Hawaii and Alaska, we reserve the right to charge additional shipping. This has only been neccessary in 1% of orders when the product does not fit in a flat rate box.
What if I have a return?
Answer: Visit our Ordering and Shipping page for details on the policies. But, our return policy is that if within 30 days a product does not stand up to your expectation of quality you are entitled to a full refund of the product. Is my credit card transaction secure?
Answer: Sewzanne's uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption when transmitting certain kinds of information, such as financial services information or payment information. An icon resembling a padlock is displayed on the bottom of most browsers window during SSL transactions that involve credit cards and other forms of payment. Any time Sewzanne's asks you for a credit card number for payment or for verification purposes, it will be SSL encrypted.
The information you provide will be stored securely on our servers. Once you choose to store or enter your credit card number on SewZanne's, it will not be displayed back to you in its entirety when you retrieve or edit it in the future. Instead of the entire number, you will only see asterisks and either the first four digits or the last four digits of your number.
You can also take a look at the Alternative Order forms, to the right of this page and see if you are more comfortable placing your order this way. However you do it, we promise to keep your information private and secure.
Can I order less than full yard increments?
Answer: We currently have a one yard minimum and sell in full yard increments on all fabric orders. We offer very reasonable pricing including promotions and sales in order to remain competitive. We will be offering remnant bundles in the near future which will contain remnants of one yard and less.
Can I combine coupon codes? And use coupon codes with sale items?
Answer: Our E-commerce site is only able to accept one coupon code per order and therefore coupons may not be combined. Some sales will be set up as coupon codes and may not be combined with others and some sales will have "hardcoded" prices which will allow additional discount codes.
Are these fabrics suitable for children's sleepwear?
Answer: We do not offer any products that are treated with flame retardant chemicals. (They tend to wash out.) Nor do we perform flammability tests. Although, for child's safety, a garment can "fit snugly" as outlined in the US Consumer Product Safety Commission's Children's Sleepwear Regulations. - Click to review.
As of this writing, these rules apply to sleepwear sizes 9 months to 14. (Interesting note: Diapers and underwear are not considered "sleepwear", by the standard.)
Should I wash my fabric before sewing?
Answer: Yes, washing before sewing is advisable. We suggest washing fabrics on cold and drying on delicate cycle or air dry.

Do you sell wholesale?

Why did you bill my Debit Card/ Paypal twice?
Answer: We wouldn't dare! ;o)... Our merchant system is specifically designed with a double fault system to prevent this from occurring. The Authorization process with debit cards and paypal does differ from the credit card process. When an order is placed on our site the amount is automatically authorized, and a hold is placed on the funds. When we ship an order we convert the authorization to a "sale". Banks cards and Paypal handle this differently than a standard credit card. Sometimes it will appear as if there was a bill, then a credit, then another bill. This happens most commonly when there are changes to an order, or shipping amounts are added or adjusted. The process requires a few days to clear through all the banks involved before you can see the actual finalized charge on your statement. If you see this, please understand, we do not have your money in our bank, there is just a hold on those funds. Bank card authorizations have to release within 4 business days. This is a process that has nothing to do with Sewzanne's Fabrics, it's just the way debit cards/paypal systems work. Credit cards, however, allow for the authorization without holding actual money in your bank. Merchants (and consumers) are at the mercy of the way paypal and debit/bank cards work. Thank you for understanding, and please be assured that we take the handling of your money very seriously and that this process has nothing to do with Sewzanne's.
