Materials:
Scrap of woven fabric at least 6" x 24"
Fusible interfacing at least 6" x 24"
Thread for sewing machine
Steam iron, or dry iron and spray water bottle
2 flannel scraps cut to 8" x 8" each and serged around edges to make 'kleenex'
Step 1
Cut a piece of fusible interfacing to 6"x24" and fuse (according to package directions) to woven fabric
Step 2
Trim down to 6"x 23 1/4"
Step 3
Starting from one end make chalk marks to divide into sections: sectionA is 1.5", B= 1.5", C=14", D=3 1/4", E=1.5", F=1.5"
Step 4
Now you get to start folding! With right side facing the ironing board and wrong side facing you, fold/press sections A and F in.
Step 5
Fold/press section B under and E in.
Step 6
Fold/press section D under (please ignore extra chalk lines on pouch closest to you in pic)
Step 7
Flip over so right side of fabric is facing you.
Step 8
Bring left side up and over to right side as shown in picture and fold/press
Step 9
If you plan to include a logo label on this you can unfold now to sew in correct spot, as shown by pin placement in picture.
Step 10
Notice how bottom of label is facing the 'A' section
Step 11
Refold on previous press lines and stitch each side of pouch 1/4" from edge. You can clip the corners as well at this point, so it flips nicer.
Step 12
Flip right side out and press, poke corners with something rounded like a chop stick.
I like to make 2 8"x8" single layer flannel wipes to include in the pouch, I just serge and round corners as I go
